Last year we gave you two perfect recipes for spending a romantic evening in with your other half by creating the perfect steak meal for two， or hosting your annual ‘Galentine’s’ and sharing the love with all your friends with a steak fajita recipe.
This year， we’re taking a different approach – whether you’re in a relationship or not， why not make the special someone you spoil on Valentine’s Day， yourself？ And why not make a day of it.couch cushion covers diy
These little tips will help you to relax with a pampering experience to treat yourself –； and your home –； to some much-needed Valentine’s TLC.
And if you happen to be spending the day with your other half， our advice still applies.
Start the day right
It’s known as the most important meal of the day for a reason. How you spend your morning (or early afternoon if you’；re having a lie in) can set the tone for the rest of your day. Indulge your cravings with a breakfast of championspersonalized newborn baby gifts， be it classic eggs on toast， sweet and gooey pancakes or something a little different with continental pastries and cinnamon buns， served with freshly squeezed OJ.
Make it even more of a treat by enjoying every mouthful whilst cosily tucked up in bed (but don’t forget your lap tray to avoid any spillages!).
Now is the time to use those luxurious bath products you got for Christmas， the ones that are just too fancy for everyday use.
Get the water running and those soft， scented bubbles soaring， then immerse yourself in a hot bath filled with calming oils and flower petals. Add to the peaceful atmosphere by lighting scented candles， or for a flame-free alternative try reed diffusers and pot pourri.
Complete your indulgent home spa experience with your favourite pampering treatments and lotions， and finish by wrapping yourself in one of our incredibly soft and sumptuous？Egyptian cotton or Teddy Bear gowns.
Top Tip：？If you’re not going anywhere today， you could even treat yourself to a glass of something bubbly.
Get comfy and do what Frankie says
After the perfect pamper session， what’s better than snuggling down into fresh？new bed linen？ Cocoon yourself in delightful brushed cotton sheets and enjoy some ‘；me-time’； with your favourite book， newspaper or TV show.
Not one for staying in bed all day？ You could even bring your duvet to the sofa.？The most important thing is that you RELAX.
Throws and cushions are also ideal for bringing extra comfort and cosiness， and are therefore essential for Valentine’s Day. Put on your favourite Rom-Com and get snug on the sofa surrounded by plump cushions and luxurious throws.
We strongly encouraged you get so comfy that you end up “accidentally” taking a nap.
If you’re having a day of self-love， relaxation of both the body and mind is key.
Set the scene with simple finishing touches
Nothing says Valentine’s Day like a lovely bouquet of flowers， and there is nothing wrong in buying them for yourself. Flowers can bring life into a room with a splash of colour and beauty. Not only do they add an extra something to your decor， flowers create a welcoming atmosphere， can boost your mood and foster creativity.
Even if you’re not particularly green fingered， beautiful artificial flowers？will have the same cheery effect and create that extra homely feel.
As the evening approaches， dim the main light and switch to softer， warmer and more gentle glows to create a relaxing evening ambience. Use a mixture of floor lamps， small table lamps and delicate string lights to achieve a laid-back level of lighting.
Top Tip：？If possible， direct the light beams to the corner of the room to help create a dimmer， more soothing atmosphere.
Yesterday we had a snow day here in the Northeast and there’s a nice, fresh coating of white snow – just enough to make everything pretty!? Right after taking down the Christmas decor, things can look pretty bare. ?But, I’m not quite ready to bring out “all things spring”. ?So I decided to do a few easy projects to work through January and February.? The first thing I made was this Silver White Winters Glitter Canvas to display on my winter mantel.
This Instructable is all about upcycling, and transforming a bed set into a garment. If you don't already have an old Doctor Who set, you might find one in your local charity shop/thrift store.
Removing wallpaper is never fun. But with the right tools, a little know-how, and a lot of patience, anybody can rid a room of a dated wall covering.
